The two ruins of the benedictine abbeys St. Aurelius and St. Peter and Paul in Hirsau, Southern Germany attract many visitors each year. A small book titled »Lebensraum« helps to make visible the sacred dimension of the site. 18 uniquely expressive points in both abbeys are portrayed and accompanied by words and quesitons to meditate on. A dictionary within the book gives insight into benedictine rules and the life in the abbey. Photographically captured by Wilfried Feder Photo and translated into digital form by depone Netzgestaltung. Role: Concept, design and production control. — lebensraum-hirsau.de
